Heat-Thunder NBA Finals
…Who’s the most important player?
Lebron James
We can talk about how incredible of a scorer Durant is (3 scoring titles at the age of 23) or the kind of leader he has become, the quiet yet humble captain who leads by example (very much in the same mold as a Tim Duncan), or even how he’s improved as a play maker. But no matter how much Durant contributes to his team no one is as important as Lebron is to the Miami Heat.
With Lebron he’s everything. He’s the facilitator on offense and the vocal leader on defense. He shoulders the load when it comes to scoring. On defense he can literally defend any position. Throughout the playoffs we’ve seen Lebron guard the likes of Rajon Rondo, lethal scorers such as Carmelo Anthony, Danny Granger and Paul Pierce, even big men like Garnett, Chandler, and West.
On the Thunder if Durant isn’t having a spectacular game we’ve seen Harden step up, we’ve seen Westbrook step up, we’ve even seen Ibaka step his game up. On the Heat, the offense IS Lebron. If Lebron struggles, there is no offense. There’s no question that while Durant is an incredible player, there’s no argument against Lebron’s importance and what he brings to the table. Lebron is simply THE complete package.
- The Miami Heat are struggling.
- “Which one of the big three will be separated”?
-Dwyane Wade is no longer “The Flash”.
- Lebron James is “not clutch”.
-Chris Bosh is “half a star”
-Miami has “no bench”.
-“Miami’s coach needs to be fired”.
-OKC will win the finals. Miami doesn’t stand a chance…
You all talk. We just keep playing.
